Do you have any additional comments on any of your answers:

  • We have a great home - school relationship and all staff are very approachable
  • It's the perfect place for our son. The staff work tirelessly to make sure that he is supported and scaffolded to progress throughout his time at school.
  • I feel listened to whenever I speak to staff, the staff in the office are also amazing very knowledgeable and extremely helpful they also get back to you with all the information you need which is really reassuring.
  • The head teacher is great, goes out of his way to make the children feel welcome, always make sure he knows each child names and greets them every morning
  • Having already experienced other schools that supposedly support SEND kids, I can honestly say Corley is an amazing school, with staff who are genuinely invested in my son and a leader in Mark White who is nothing short of brilliant. The UK needs more of Corley and the team within, I cannot thank or recommend them enough. Being in such an environment is life changing for those kids who go there, as it has proven to be with my son.
  • Corley is a fantastic setting for our child. We have been so impressed with the transition, care and understanding of the staff and couldn’t ask for anymore. My son is so happy at school and with his learning. The staff, and in particular the year 7 team have given him a fantastic start to secondary education. Thank you
  • Wonderful place
  • My child since joining Corley Academy, has developed a lot including physical, speech development and discovery of music talent and of course some academic subjects. All these happened beyond my expectations. Thank you with all my heart
  • My son has had a very positive start to his time at Corley
  • Corley Academy is a wonderful school with fantastic, caring staff that have supported and nurtured my son from day one. He has thrived at Corley. Due to a serious illness, he has missed most of year 10, and Corley have shown incredible practical and emotional support to my son, his dad and me, throughout. Working in a primary school, I'm always happy to hear when year 6 children with additional needs have a place at Corley, because I know they will receive the best education and support possible for their needs.
  • My son started in September and he couldn’t of settled in any better this is an excellent school it has exceeded my expectations
  • I feel that I have very little idea of my son's lessons or how he is doing he had to take his options for his subjects next year there was no consultations parents nights or anything to help and we only had a few days to decide and no guidance for our son.
  • One of the best secondary school for children with special needs.
  • Parents evenings after the Easter break would be better as I feel in October the teacher doesn’t know the child well enough to say how there progressing, and a follow email regarding things raised at EHCP reviews I’d asked for dyscalculia testing and I’ve no idea again if it’s taken place and the outcome
  • Fantastic staff made my child feel very welcome. My child is a different child now he is attending the school. The school meet his needs very well and Mrs Jackson is such a great member of staff. She made my child’s transition very smooth and always spoke to me about any questions. Great all round. Thanks Corley
  • Thank you for all your hard work and continued support :)
  • My son has really enjoyed his time at Corley
  • The teachers at the school are very approachable and very helpful and supportive. The head teacher is amazing to work with and is always very open and honest.
  • My son is really happy at the school.
  • My son as learned so much in this I am so glad he went to it.
  • My child is safe and happy at school.
  • Cannot praise the school enough the teachers become like family especially to my son.
  • We are so happy to have found Corley, it's an exceptional school and our son has been given opportunities and experiences already making his confidence sore. He has made some very special friends and loves all his teachers. Mr White is always present and its lovely he and other staff know all the children so well. Would highly recommend the school.
  • Communication I believe can be improved a great deal, while we have updates on progress in terms of subjects with scores for example 1C etc. This is more around behaviour and support required. I rely heavily on the child's updates which he can never remember or accurate with regards to what they are learning. Social interaction/engagement is something that needs more investment i.e. extracurricular activities. We feel more can be done with the support from the school to improve this skill. Especially with the children we have at this school it can be difficult skill for them. School can provide that safe environment to develop friendships and some life skills.
  • Superb special school which goes the extra mile so to speak.  The staff are experts in inclusiveness and constantly strive to work around the students to help them achieve their potential.
  • My child loves it at Corley and it makes us as parents feel so happy that he enjoys school. We also love the school and all the staff are always very happy and helpful!
  • Thank you to the Headmaster and all the teachers at Corley. Your pastoral care and educational support is outstanding, and has enabled my son to access education again after an extended period of time out of school, and he is thriving. My son is smiling again and loves your school, and I thank you for this from the bottom of my heart.
  • The pastoral support given to the children is excellent. It would be beneficial to have the insight into what subject matters they are learning in different classes & what the goal is each term.
It would be beneficial to have more parental interaction in/out of school. Some fun interactions.  Tapping into resources available to neuro complex children and school to support extracurricular activities.  We understand it is hard to support all the complexities of all children but some would thrive having those safe opportunities. The staff makes this school led by a good mentor.
  • Moving to secondary school was a source of great anxiety for us all but our child has thrived in the school environment. He happily goes to school, has formed friendships he has never had before and is excelling academically. The staff are supportive and engaging with him and us. Amazing all round in what I thought would be a horrible year! Thank you
  • Brilliant school, brilliant reception staff and an outstanding head teacher followed by the deputy head overall the staff and school are amazing
  • My son is very happy at school and I'm extremely happy with how the school manage him and he has really grown in confidence since starting at Corley and feel the school do very well at teaching children skills to handle their behaviours.
  • I’m so happy that my girls have settled in brilliantly the teachers are lovey my girls are happy and that makes me happy thank you to all staff
  • As to question 8 I put agree and not strongly only because the school do have expectations of my child but not too high that they feel overwhelmed and the expectations are set for them to achieve realistic goals for them individually.
  • I want to sincerely thank all the staff for continuing to support my child in the hopes that he will succeed in life when he leaves to go onto further education.
  • This school has been amazing for my child and has made him feel comfortable and secure which now means he enjoys attending school which is amazing as that’s something that has never happened. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who needs it.
  • I don't want to appear negative in anyway, because we really love the school and are so proud our son goes there, but we feel more communication is needed from his main teachers/Mentors. My son is in year 8 and has had 3 different teachers this year. We never got told the first one left, or the second one had gone off sick, and then the second one returning. We learnt this from general chat with school or speech & Language therapist. It would be good to receive a email of any major staff changes as my son doesn't communicate this. Also, at the start of year 8 he kept saying he didn’t want to go to school. There was disruption in the class for a while between two boys. I learnt this from his teacher on parents evening.
  • Not really but I'm very pleased that our son attends Corley School.
